Raw Delights is a Polstead business hoping for big things in 2012. Their delicious raw vegan food is proving to be very popular at the Sunflower Health Food shop in Hadleigh High Street.

I have tried some of the Raw Delights food (pictured above) which include crackers, granola and 'Heavenly Bites' it is all very tasty and may well surprise you.

The Raw Delights business is based in Polstead, near Hadleigh, and is the brainchild of Merryn Ironmonger who discovered the benefits of organic raw, vegan food after a visit to a raw vegan restaurant in San Francisco in 2006.

Merryn says the main benefit of eating raw food is that the nutrients, vitamins and minerals, remain intact she told me: "Cooking food actually destroys a lot of the life-giving energy of food."

Encouraging people in Hadleigh to try her products Merryn said: "I see them as an aid to busy people, who want healthy snacks, but don't have the time to make them themselves."

Originally from Australia, Merryn loves living in Suffolk and describes Hadleigh as being 'beautiful'.

Keen to support local businesses Merryn had her logo designed by the 'talented team' at Suffolk based Pyxis Media.

As well as being on sale at the Sunflower Shop in Hadleigh you can also buy Raw Delight products from the Golden Harvest Food shop in Sudbury and online.

To visit the online shop and find out lots more information about Merryn's Raw Delights business please click here. Raw Delights are also on Twitter so please follow them (@Raw_Delights).
