Police hit out at internet 'rumours' about Suffolk riots

Suffolk Police chiefs have praised their officers that are currently in London dealing with the riots. At the same time they have criticised 'malicious and fictitious rumours' about 'disorder in the streets of Suffolk'.

However the police have had a visible presence in Suffolk's main towns all day, this will continue late into the evening.

Suffolk Police have also suggested that retailers keep a close eye on their businesses watching out for any suspicious activity.

So, are they more worried about riots in Suffolk than they are letting on?
